Addiction -

We discovered 79th human organ few years back & now this organ is controlling humans physically & mentally. This new age human organ is none other than "Mobile". With its acceptance came up ornaments to beautify this organ, I mean the tempting mobile apps, making all users addicted to it. As a  resultant the users started saying, प्राण जाये पर मोबाइल ना जाये 😉 (specially when spouse asks to unlock it).
With this instrument in hand, people enter an interesting & tempting virtual world of social media.

Out of available varied social media options, one app which has become lifeline of most of us is whatsapp. I would not overstate if I say, People have started falling in love with this virtual world and openly admit, whatsapp The first & last thing after/ before sleep usually people do is check up their social media & then with peace of mind go to bed. This addiction continues once you become part of few active groups, from where either you get interesting stuff 😉, free of cost learnings, unsolicited advices & allows you to communicate freely (bindaas types). Everyone's interest and take home differs, so this tool offers a bouquet of options where people join as per their taste & preferences to fall madly in love with this.

This virtual world keeps one active & makes him/ her feel that the whole world is with you (although no one has dared to evaluate same in person b'coz all fear that illusion may get over & they would be alone).
With this level of belief, commitment & involvement, problem arises when we are thrown away from this tool by virtue of technical glitches, suo motto (when we choose for social media fasting) or other ways.

The moment you leave the groups, there are few concerned calls, भाई क्या हुआ, सब ठीक तो हैं ना 😯 but slowly & gradually (in few hours), people forget that you had left the group and then begins your chosen vanwaas. I recently had same experience so can relate to it well & that's my inspiration to write this blog.
Then you start finding yourself alone in a dense forest with no ray of hope and start loosing purpose of life. This momentary feeling is reflection of addiction, which is ruling over us & we are reacting as these social media companies twist us.

The problem intensifies, when you were creator of a group & due to this hustle - bustle, someone else gains power automatically (by becoming Admin) - हमारे नये राजा बाबू.  This, thus could be termed as handing over baton by chance. The story gets complicated when the left member (erstwhile Admin) joins back & is made an admin again & our newly assigned
(Please note this has nothing to do with politics).
We have focussed on whatsapp but this applies to all social media platforms like Insta, fb, twitter etc.

The power game (control & authority) begins, making you more addicted to the system & consuming more time of yours, settling unwanted disputes & likes besides managing the smooth functioning of group. And we all know it is not possible to satisfy each and everybody b'coz needs and wants of all are different. The best we can do is hold our emotions & practice self control. Initially this may look like you are cut off from the world but will surely help you to focus on better things in life.

The bottomline is that we as a person need to learn to handle this addiction & not become a puppet in hands of virtual world of social media, where for your every action, there would be appreciations by few, criticism by few, sarcasticism by few & offcourse no reaction by majority, who do not care at all.

Let's step up and dare to come out of this vicious social media circle, where we stand more concerned with Am I getting noticed ? Just remember one thing, Last but not least, follow the age old saying,
